This patient came in for an emergency dental treatment with a very bad toothache. He couldn't sleep much because of the severe pain. On our records, we found one of his top left teeth got a decay 18 months ago but he didn't come back to have the filling done. Unfortunately today's x-ray showed the decay had progressed and touched the nerve. The only way to save the tooth was root canal treatment. Pulp extirpation (removal of the nerve) was performed as an endodontic emergency treatment, followed by dressing with antibiotics and pain killer. No more pain after the procedure.
Have tooth decay fixed. It saves your money and time. Otherwise they will come back and bite you.
